Crime & Punishment in Cocking in the Nineteenth Century

This series of articles formed the basis for talks presented in Cocking Village Hall in October 2023 and January 2024. It was inspired by a challenge laid down at a previous talk, and was largely sourced from the files from the Sussex Quarterly Assizes held at West Sussex Record Office in Chichester, and the nineteenth century newspapers held at the online British Newspaper Archive.
